A small child in a stroller was reportedly struck by a vehicle in a Carson City crosswalk Friday night across from the Warren Inn on North Carson Street. A Care Flight air ambulance was called but canceled after it was determined the child, after being checked by emergency personnel, was not seriously hurt.
The child apparently suffered a bump to the head and an ambulance was called at the father's request, according to emergency personnel at the scene.
The incident was reported at 8:44 p.m. Traffic was reduced to one lane along Carson Street as Carson City ambulance and deputies investigated. Officers spoke with the father and the driver of the vehicle that allegedly hit the child.
Authorities were still at the scene investigating at 9 p.m.
