These beautiful dogs were abandoned at the Carson City 7-Eleven on the corner of Highway 395 and College Parkway.
They were left with no water and for several hours according to the employees inside the convenience store. One of my co-workers was there on break and called for help so a friend of mine and I left on break to go assist.
Our co-worker put the dogs in the back of his truck and went into the shade. Carson City Animal Control was called and arrived shortly afterward.
We were talking with the Animal Control officer when a guy and a girl walked up on foot with backpacks and suit cases and said the dogs were theirs and that they had only been gone for 10 minutes. Not true. They were given a warning and told the consequences if it ever happens again.
The sad thing is these two didn't even act like they loved their animals and it was so hard to see the officer give them back their dogs. There was a momma and her two pups, around 6 months and 3 months old. Beautiful dogs!!! Thanks to everyone who came to their rescue, even the nice lady that went into to 7-Eleven and bought dog food for them.
