Storyteller Jim Cogan will be at the Carson City Library telling tales on Tuesday, July 16 at 6 p.m. This program is free to the public. Jim Cogan offers storytelling venues that appeal to all ages.
Combining history, folklore, legend, family memories and original perspective, Jim takes audiences on an animated and mesmerizing journey through the magical worlds of stories. Mixing creative use of sound with a kaleidoscopic face, adding his animated physical presence in the creation of visual imagery, Jim transforms stories into dramatic, and often hilarious, adventures.
Whether retelling a classical myth, cajoling the interaction of children in a participation folktale, or dramatizing a personal re-creation of a memorable moment in history, Jim breathes his Irish-American love of language into every tale he tells.
