
Douglas County authorities have arrested a man wanted for a shooting that happened Thursday in Topaz Ranch Estates, said Sheriff Ron Pierini.
Gary Wilson, 44, was taken into custody at 3:45 p.m. Friday afternoon after turning himself into Douglas County Sheriff's Office authorities, according to a news release. He allegedly shot an unidentified person in the shoulder resulting in non-life threatening injuries.
Wilson was to be taken to Douglas County Jail and faces charges of attempted murder with use of a deadly among others. A Douglas County judge will determine Wilson’s bail sometime Friday evening.
The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office immediately began a manhunt for Wilson following the shooting and the Washoe County Sheriff’s Office helicopter Raven-1 was deployed over the TRE area in the search.
