UPDATE 5PM: Bison Fire grows to 2,000 acres, according to Sierra Front Interagency Dispatch Center. At least 350 firefighters are battling the blaze burning in southeast Douglas County.

The Bison Fire burning in southeast Douglas County has grown to 1,400 acres with 20 containment, according to the latest from Nevada fire officials.
No structures have been damaged and no injuries reported, however the fire has shifted due to the winds coming from the southwest and pushing fire to the north and northeast, said Douglas County Sheriff's Office Sgt. Pat Brooks.
Around 350 firefighters are currently working the fire in addition to 3 helicopters, 5 single engine air tankers, 1 air attack plane and 4 dozers. The fire is burning in a mix of Pinion and Juniper Trees with extreme fire conditions.
The fire is still in a unified command with East Fork Fire and Paramedic District and BLM, however will transition to a Sierra Front Team Type 3 Team on Saturday at 6 a.m.
According to Sierra Front, firefighters are actively engaged in structure protection and perimeter handline construction designed to keep the fire contained to the Pinenut Creek area.
The Pinenut 2 road that leads into the residential areas has been closed except to residential and emergency traffic. Fire is operating under unified command between East Fork Fire Protection District and the BLM.
