UPDATE: The Comstock Casino in Carson City was robbed at gunpoint early Tuesday morning, the Carson City Sheriff's Office reports.
The robbery happened at 2:50 a.m. when an unknown man approached the cashier area of the Goni Road casino, said Carson City Sheriff's Office Detective Doug Speegle. The man showed the clerk a large dark pistol, demanded money and then left with a large amount of cash.
The white man is described as having dark colored facial hair, and tattoos on both arms. He was wearing grey sweat pants, a blue t-shirt, and a straw type cowboy style hat with a dark colored band, said Detective Speegle.
