The Nevada Highway Patrol has identified the Carson City man killed Saturday in a motorcycle crash in on Geiger Grade.
Kyle Banko, 24, was killed was riding his sport bike on Geiger Grade toward Reno from Virginia City on Saturday afternoon, the NHP reports.
Troopers say Banko was going at a high-rate of speed when he passed a car on a curve in a no-passing zone. He sideswiped the vehicle and lost control of the motorcycle. The driver and passenger inside the car were not hurt.
Banko died at Renown Medical Center in Reno after he was taken by a Careflight helicopter.
